BAISE - The rescue headquarter at the Nadu coal mine in southwest China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region confirmed the deaths of 36 miners on Tuesday following a fatal flooding accident 16 days ago.
Rescuers recovered the last six bodies on Monday and Tuesday.
The accident at 1:15 pm on July 21, originally trapped 57 miners
In the past two weeks, rescuers had saved 21 miners. All of them had recovered.
The government of Baise, where the colliery is located, had started the compensation procedure for the victims' families.
