Ships collide near Shanghai dock, injuring four

SHANGHAI -- A patrol boat of the Shanghai Maritime Safety Administration collided with a passenger ship near the Wusong dock on Monday, sending four people to the hospital with injuries.

According to the administration, the passenger ship, owned by the Shanghai Passenger Shipping Company, had just set off but its view was blocked by several sand quarrying ships.

It wasn't immediately known which ship the injured were on.

The accident is under investigation, with compensation to be determined later.
