HANGZHOU -- Rescuers recovered a body in the East China Sea on Saturday in the area where a boat sank leaving four people missing.

The identity of the body has not been confirmed. Local fishery and border defense authorities are continuing the search despite bad weather, according to officials of Taizhou city, Zhejiang Province.

Nine hospital workers in Taizhou hired a boat manned by three crew to go angling on Friday. The vessel sank on the way to Yi jiangshan islands at about 5 p.m., according to the captain who was later saved.

Eight people have been rescued and taken to the hospital.

It is the second vessel to sink in the East China Sea in two days.

Twelve seamen are missing after a tornado capsized their fishing boat, throwing 15 crew members into the water near Zhejiang's Zhoushan City on Wednesday.

Three seamen were rescued, and more than 30 rescue boats and a helicopter are searching for the others.
