Five missing after ship sinks

WENZHOU -- A total of five crew members were missing after a cargo ship sunk off the coast of the eastern Zhejiang province, according to local sources on Saturday.

The ship with 11 people aboard, registered as "Zhefeng 6" in Ningbo, sunk off the Leqing Bay in the southeast of Zhejiang at about 2 a.m. Saturday. Six people were rescued and are described as "in good shape".

At least six rescue boats were mobilized to search for the missing.

With a capacity of 485 tons, the ship belonged to the Tongda Ocean Shipping Company. The rescued people said that they were loading stones into the vessel when the accident occurred.
Cause of the accident is under investigation.
