A set of Chinese chess all made of ice debuted in Harbin, capital city of Northeast China's Heilongjiang Province, drawing a large number of onlookers, reported Xinhua news agency on Wednesday.

All chess pieces, 50 centimeters in diameter each, were put on a chess board, also made of ice, that was eight meters long and six meters wide.

The elaborate craft work will be used at a chess competition in early 2008.
