A man surnamed Wang in Nanjing, Jiangsu Province, has not used an alarm clock for years as his pet cat wakes him up at exactly 5:30 every morning.

Wang said he got the cat from his hometown four years ago. The cat usually starts walking around the room at 4 am and at 5:30 it jumps onto Wang's bed, licking his face and waking him up, work days and weekends.

Suspecting that the cat wanted to be fed, Wang filled its food containers every night but found the cat meowing as usual at 5:30 am. Now Wang figures his cat is waking him up for companionship.
