Instead of working as a massage professional as his parents did, Li Yang, a blind 20-year-old student at a university in Changchun, Jilin, has created a website with his friends' help for studying English.

With almost no eyesight due to a congenital condition, Li is able to write all the programs for his website through software specially developed for the blind.

The State information authorities have approved Li's website, www.kedu.net.cn, for commercial use.

He currently has more than 3,000 registered members. He hopes his website will give more blind people access to Internet information.
