Eleven stone benches shaped like life-size nude women have set off a public uproar since being placed along a pedestrian street in Jiaohe Jilin, a week ago.

While some say they appreciate them as art, others - particularly women and the elderly - find them offensive. At issue is the fact that all the women are on their knees.
