10 miners rescued from flooded gold mine in east China

All the 10 miners trapped in a flooded gold mine in east China's Jiangxi Province have been rescued, local authorities said on Friday.

Four miners were rescue at 9:35 p.m. Friday, 29 hours since they got trapped, after more rescuers and equipment were called in.

Six others were rescued on Thursday soon after the flooding in Yangjishan Gold Mine, north Jiangxi's Ruichang City, occurred at 4:30 p.m.

The 10 miners have been sent to hospital.

Investigation into the cause of the accident is still under way.
