Beijing Benz-DaimlerChrysler Automotive Co. Ltd. will recall 1,443 Chrysler 300C sedans due to potential gearshift oil cooler problems, China's market watchdog said on Thursday.

According to the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine (GAQSIQ), the sedans to be recalled were manufactured from March 21 to May 29 of this year. The company's authorized service stations will offer free replacements for customers.

The recall will not cover imported Chrysler 300C sedans.

Beijing Benz-DaimlerChrysler Automotive Co. Ltd. is a joint venture between Daimler Chrysler and Beijing Automotive Industry Holding Company (BAIC). Each side have a 50 percent stake in the 30-year joint venture.
