Six dead, five injured in SW China road collision

KUNMING, - Six people died and five were injured on June 3 in a collision between a heavy truck and a three-wheeled vehicle carrying 10 passengers in southwest China's Yunnan Province.

The accident occurred at 6:25 a.m. in Xipo village, Chenggong County, when the truck was heading to Kunming, the provincial capital, said a spokesman of Kunming public security bureau.

Four people died at the scene and two others died later in hospital. Five people were still being treated in hospital, the spokesman said.

An investigation into the accident is underway.
