A blood bank in Baoding of Hebei Province had to compensate two blood donors, both college students, $1,000 yuan ($128) each last week because it had taken too much blood from them.

The two donated blood without payment at a bloodmobile public site. But doctors aboard the vehicle took 400 milliliters each from them instead of 200 milliliters as promised.

The two donors claimed the excess withdrawal caused them personal injury. The court, which mediated the complaint, also ordered the bloodmobile to apologize.
