"We've had some conversations," News Corp. Chief Operating Officer Peter Chernin said on a conference call in response to a reporter's question. "It's possible if we can find some joint venture partner that makes sense."

The owners of the top Internet social network site MySpace announced a 50/50 joint venture with Softbank Corp. this week to launch a version for the Japan market.
