Yunnan Baiyao:Famous patented Medicine Facing Future

As a part of the Experience Yunnan, online reporters from all over China visited Yunnan Baiyao Group Co., Ltd., and got to know it's long history and fast development. Yunnan Baiyao is one of the biggest and the most famous patented Traditional Chinese Medicine manufacturer in China.

Mr. Qu Huanzhang, who came from Jiangchuan county in Yunnan province is practitioner of Yunnan Baiyao. In 1902, he successfully formulated the seemingly magical medicine "Qu Huanzhang Panacea", which is known as "Yunnan Baiyao". It is a multipurpose remedy specially used to stanch blood, promote blood circulation, extravagate blood elimination and remove postludes.

What's more, it has been proven to have curative effect on internal organs and their malfunctions, such as pulmonary tuberculosis bleeding, gastric hemorrhage, intestinal bleeding, internal cranium bleeding, gynaecological blood disease and purpura. Botanists have researched the chemical composition of Yunnan Baiyao and discovered that it contains progesterone, various saponins and alkaloids, and physiologically active compounds such as calcium phosphate.

A lot of pharmacodynamic studies indicate that Yunnan Biayao is effective in platelet cohesion, main arterial contraction, cortex hormonal secretion, release of the inflammation process, capillary meability, leukcocyte waver and connective tissue proliferation.

With the instruction of then Premier Zhou En-lai , Yunnan Baiyao Factory was set up in 1971. After more than 100 years clinical application and unceasing improvement, Yunan Baiyao products, which have been proved to have remarkable curative effects for the treatment of bruises, contusion, traumatic injury, visceral hemorrhage and women's blood disease, were recognized as a famous traditional Chinese medicine, enjoys great popularity and high reputation in China. It has been listed in the First Class National protection products in 1995.

As a magic Traditional Chinese Medicine, Yunnan Baiyao ranks one of the 50 key pharmaceutical enterprises in China. In 1993, Yunnan Baiyao issued its stock A in Shenzhen Stock Exchange. In August 2000, it has successfully obtained the GMP certification issued by the State Drug Administration.

Now Yunnan Baiyao has many new products including Yunnan Baiyao toothpaste , Yunnan Baiyao aerosol, Yunnan Baiyao woundplast and so on, its sales network covers the whole country and is spreading to all other countries.
