Shenzhen resident Huang Jianming, who had both his legs amputated at the knees, means to use his hands to climb the Great Wall in Beijing next week. He will leave Shenzhen for the Chinese capital this afternoon.

Huang, 38, has also been invited to climb the 101-storey Taipei International Financial Tower in September. The tower, the highest building in the world, reaches 508 metres high.

Huang, who lost both legs in a traffic accident in 1994, has visited many Chinese provinces, municipalities and regions, including Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions, and has climbed many famous Chinese mountains since he became disabled.
