Bush family and Peking roast duck

Back in Washington DC, both Bush senior and junior are frequent customers of a Chinese restaurant known as Beijing Hotel, where the traditional Beijing roast duck is served. In more than 20 years, the elder Bush and his wife Barbara have dined there over 50 times, on many occasions accompanied by their children.

When George W. Bush was sworn in as US President, the New York Times and the Washington Times simultaneously ran articles on his special relations with the hotel, saying: "After becoming President-elect Bush entered Washington, had his first breakfast with Greenspan, chairman of the Federal Reserve, then, chose Beijing Hotel as the place for his first supper".
