With a company name meaning luck and prosperity in Chinese, Hong Kong-based 8 Securities unveiled its new online trading portal at the Beijing 2011 TechCrunch Disrupt on Monday.

8 Securities Executive Chairman, Mathias Helleu, said, "For the first time we are making the online trading experience simple, personalized, transparent and socially connected. This is the first real innovation in online trading for a decade, and simplicity for the user is at the core of what we have created."

The unique features of the 8 Securities Trading Portal include a single view which will meet all of the investors’ needs – real time data on different markets, news, research and access to an integrated social network.

The portal will be fully personalized - when the website first opens, it will be blank and the user will input things they need or interests in onto the page, Helleu said.

"This is also the first time that the social network has been integrated directly into the trading platform and users can have different circles with friends, families and other like-minded people," Helleu said.

8 Securities Trading Portal will be initially launched in Hong Kong at the beginning of 2012.
