Shandong sells more farm produce abroad

East China's Shandong province exported $13.95 billion of farm produce in 2010, up 31.3 percent year-on-year, the local customs house said on Jan 31.

The total included $4 billion worth of vegetables, up 74.6 percent year-on-year; $2.96 billion worth of aquatic products, up 17.8 percent year-on-year; and $740 million worth of fresh and dried fruit and nuts, up 16.6 percent year-on-year.

Of the total exports, $3.53 billion worth went to Japan, up 24 percent year-on-year; $2.43 billion worth went to the European Union, up 18.6 percent; and $1.93 billion worth went to ASEAN countries, up 52.6 percent year-on-year.
