Chinese VP to attend China-US commerce and trade dialogue

BEIJING - The 21st China-US Joint Commission on Commerce and Trade (JCCT) is to be held in Washington from Dec 14 to 15, said Chinese Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Jiang Yu on Tuesday.

Chinese Vice-Premier Wang Qishan will co-chair the meeting with US Commerce Secretary Gary Faye Locke and Trade Representative Ron Kirk, said Jiang at a regular news briefing.

The JCCT was established in 1983 as a platform for the two countries to promote trade relations and address issues of mutual concern. The 20th JCCT was held in East China's Hangzhou city on Oct 28-29, 2009.
