Hong Kong stocks shed 352.04 points, or 1.73 percent, to close at 19,954.23 on Wednesday, weighed by the retreating mainland market.

Turnover totaled HK$64.41 billion ($8.26 billion), compared with Tuesday's HK$71.49 billion ($9.17 billion).
