The China Filmmakers Association and the national search platform Chinaso.com will stage the "2015 Chinese filmmakers’ Spring Festival Gala" in Beijing’s National Stadium, also known as the Bird’s Nest, on Feb 11, according to a press conference held by its organizer on Jan 25 in Beijing.

According to the event’s director Luo Wei, the gala will include five parts — "Wood", "Fire", "Earth", "Metal" and "Water" — referring to the Wuxing, or five elements in traditional Chinese philosophy, which is a fivefold conceptual scheme used to explain a wide array of phenomena in Chinese traditional culture.

In addition, it will also use new media such as Wechat and Weibo to encourage more people to make interactions during the gala.
