More than 30 companies from Shanxi are showcasing 500 artworks with unique Shanxi features and demonstrating 150 cultural projects at the ongoing Beijing International Cultural & Creative Industry Expo in the hope of attracting potential investors.

The expo started on Dec 11, and on that same day the Shanxi section attracted more than 30,000 visitors.

This is the ninth time that the Shanxi Department of Culture has organized companies to attend the expo. The Shanxi section is divided into six parts, including lacquer products, silk products, embroideries and innovative items. They demonstrated the distinctive features of traditional cultural products as well as technology’s bigger role in boosting the development of cultural industries.

In addition, many rising companies specializing in cultural industries, especially small and micro-sized ones, have shown their unprecedented enthusiasm for the event.

Many Shanxi products, including bronze objects, lacquer items, paper cutting works and iconic products from the Shanxi Museum, have attracted attention since the first day of the expo. In addition, many companies and investors showed interest in major projects such as those at the province’s culture bonded area.
