China supports South Africa in continuing to participate in relevant activities under the Group of 20 framework, Foreign Ministry spokesman Guo Jiakun said on Friday.
He made the remarks when commenting on the exclusion of South Africa from the G20 Foreign Ministers' Meeting in Atlanta, Georgia, scheduled to be held on Oct 30-31, under the United States presidency.
The G20 plays an important role in strengthening multilateralism, advancing world economic growth and improving global governance, and South Africa is an important member of the group, Guo said.
