Swiss president to visit China

China announced on Wednesday that President of the Swiss Confederation Guy Parmelin will make a three-day working visit to the country from Friday.

Foreign Ministry spokesman Guo Jiakun said at a regular news conference that Beijing stands ready to work with the Swiss side to keep China-Switzerland relations on a steady course to deliver more tangible benefits to the two peoples.

He also called for efforts to provide greater preferential access and facilitation for businesses of both sides, and to inject more certainty into the global economy.
