"For students in Taiwan, they must seek answers themselves. Only then will they know where they come from. Only then will they understand our nation's history, and what we've been through, what tragedies we've suffered, and how to prevent them from happening again," said Ou Kuei-chih, a retired Chinese literature teacher from Taipei First Girls' High School.
