World needs multilateralism as unipolar system fades: Egyptian diplomat

As the unipolar system fades, the world needs to give multilateralism a chance, said Ali El-Hefny, former Egyptian deputy foreign minister and vice-chairman of the Egypt-China Friendship Association, during the 2026 Global Governance Forum (Xiong'an), commenting on China's Global Governance Initiative. He praised China's growing role as a global power and its constructive ideas for addressing longstanding challenges facing the international community.
