Kremlin hopes to arrange Putin meeting with US envoys soon

MOSCOW -- Russia hopes to arrange a meeting between President Vladimir Putin and US envoys, Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, in the near future, Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Tuesday.

On recent mediation by US President Donald Trump's envoys over Ukraine in Europe, Moscow hopes to arrange a meeting between Putin and the US negotiators, Peskov told a regular daily briefing.

The Kremlin said it expects the American envoys to brief Putin on their contacts with Ukrainian and European counterparts, and to maintain communications between Washington and Moscow on a broad range of critical issues.
