Headlined by two UCI BMX Freestyle World Cup stops drawing the world's top 10 male and female riders, the event will also play host to Paris Olympic champion Deng Yawen. New additions include street BMX, flatland BMX on water and kendama, catering to a wider range of enthusiasts.

She hopes the Shanghai stop will serve as a starting point to bring the sport to more cities.
