After days of autumn rain, a spectacular sea of clouds rolled across the Tianzi Mountain Scenic Area on Thursday in Zhangjiajie, Hunan province, drawing visitors to witness the peaks appearing and disappearing in the drifting mist.
As the rain cleared, mist rose slowly from the valleys, sweeping over the iconic towering sandstone pillars. The cloud sea stretched across the mountains, clinging softly to the peaks or surging through the gorges.
With autumn settling in, patches of green and yellow foliage dotted the ridges, adding warmth and texture to the landscape. Visitors walked along mountain trails, breathing in the fresh post-rain air and taking in the poetic view.
