Elevated food safety requirements are reshaping production standards across the beverage manufacturing sector. Held from Oct 12 to 15 at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre, CBB 2026 — the China International Brew and Beverage Technology Exhibition — spotlighted advanced liquid food processing solutions, with aseptic filling technology standing out as a core innovation focus for the industry.

China's updated national food safety standard for food additive usage (GB 2760-2024), officially implemented in February 2025, has further tightened regulations on preservative application. The revised standard explicitly bans the use of dehydroacetic acid as a preservative in fruit and vegetable juices and purees. Complementing the upgrade, the newly revised national standard for the labeling of prepackaged foods (GB 7718-2025) prohibits inappropriate labeling claims such as "zero additives" on packaged food products.

Against the backdrop of stricter additive supervision, beverage manufacturers are increasingly adopting high-standard aseptic production technologies. The shift enables producers to guarantee food safety and maintain product shelf stability while fully complying with updated national regulatory requirements.

The rising demand for aseptic processing solutions aligns with robust global market growth in aseptic packaging. According to market researcher Fortune Business Insights, the global aseptic packaging market is expected to grow steadily from $98.81 billion in 2026 to $229.98 billion by 2034, with the Asia-Pacific region remaining the world's largest and fastest-expanding consumer market.
