Tennis Australia is stepping up its investment in China, its largest overseas market, by expanding partnerships with Chinese companies, deepening cooperation with the China Open and launching the 1 Point Slam in China for the first time.

The moves are part of its efforts to strengthen year-round engagement with one of the world's fastest-growing tennis markets.

At the Australian Open's 2027 China launch in Beijing, Tennis Australia announced an expanded strategic partnership with the China Open covering tournament operations, talent development and commercial collaboration.

"China has been a major focus for us for a long time," said Roddy Campbell, director of partnerships and international business at Tennis Australia.
