With China's tennis community continuing to grow, Swiss sportswear brand On is seeking to build deeper connections with local fans by bringing professional athletes closer to them and sharing the people, interests and stories behind their performances on court.

On brought six-time Grand Slam champion Iga Swiatek together with local tennis fans and enthusiasts in Beijing during the ongoing China Open season. The gathering gave them an opportunity to exchange views on tennis, personal growth and life beyond professional competition.

On and off the court, Swiatek shared how her views on tennis and her career have continued to evolve, while also speaking about interests beyond the game, including reading and music.

The gathering offered fans a closer look at the focus, passion and drive that continue to shape her journey, inspiring more people to connect with tennis and keep moving forward.

Swiatek first picked up a racket at the age of five and entered the professional circuit in 2016. Since then, her understanding of the sport has continued to evolve. Looking ahead to her campaign at the China Open, she shared how she is approaching this stage of the season.

"I will take it step by step and try not to focus too much on the result. For me, the result comes from the process. What I need to do is focus on the process and on the work I do each day," she said.

On court, Swiatek holds herself to high standards and stays focused on every point. Away from competition, she enjoys reading, listening to music and spending time on her own. The intensity she brings to competition sits alongside a quieter, more introspective rhythm off court, offering a fuller picture of who she is.

Through its global "Thanks for Playing" tennis initiative, On said it aims to highlight such connections and the people who help sustain tennis communities.

By creating more opportunities for athletes and fans to meet beyond the competition venue, the Zurich-based company is looking to extend the energy of professional tournaments into everyday participation, turning interest in a player or a match into a longer-lasting connection with tennis.
