We also took in an equestrian show, which really needs a more fitting name for, because simply calling it an "equestrian show" doesn't quite match the excitement on display.
The show featured extremely skilled riders — including a fearless 6-year-old girl — performing a variety of stunts on horseback, mounted archery, and a lovely little stampede of ponies. In short, fun for the whole family.
Later in the week, on a particularly joyful day, a group of us visited Six & A Half Studio, an art studio that blends handicrafts with urban tourism. After a quick tour of the facility, we were led into one of the studios where we were each presented with a roughly 30 cm by 30 cm piece of cloth. It was time to make our own works of art.
