Chinese stocks closed mixed on Tuesday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index up 0.06 percent to 3,952.13 points. The Shenzhen Component Index closed 0.05 percent lower at 13,723.74 points.

Efforts to lift rail staff's safety quality

Chinese railway operators have made full efforts to enhance the safety performance of rail staff. Shanxi province's Yuci Station — one of the country's 44 major marshalling yards — has organized a regulation knowledge competition among young employees, checking their safety acumen and mastery of technical regulations and skills. The move aims to encourage young staffers to resolutely follow rules, ensuring safe rail transport.
