How could China-US ties be better stabilized?

Amid uncertainties facing China-US relations, trade and industrial chains remain deeply intertwined yet plagued by "decoupling" rhetoric, while competition in artificial intelligence intensifies. Gao Fei, president of China Foreign Affairs University, pointed out in Dialogues with Thinkers that China provides certainty through its economic growth, political stability, and policy continuity — reducing the risk of a head-on collision by at least half. He emphasized that the bilateral trade volume between China and the US still exceeds half a trillion dollars, remaining the largest in the world, with industrial chains deeply integrated. On the AI front, the two countries take different paths: the US focuses on computing power, while China excels in open-source solutions and cost-effective applications.
