Chinese mainland shares close higher

Chinese mainland stocks closed higher on Wednesday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index up 0.71 percent to 3,891.6 points. The Shenzhen Component Index closed 1.26 percent higher at 13,454.74 points.

Safety perimeter along railways strengthened

To better protect transport conditions, Chinese rail operators are taking new measures to better protect equipment and lines. Taiyuan North Station of China Railway Taiyuan Group sent staff to inspect lines within its jurisdiction, and visit surrounding communities and nearby merchants to conduct rail protection publicity.
