Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Mao Ning said that China's fourth batch of emergency relief supplies for Nepal departed on Tuesday morning.

Mao said at a regular press briefing that various sectors in China have responded actively to help Nepal.

"The China Foundation for Rural Development has set up temporary shelters in the disaster-hit areas in Nepal, providing daily necessities and basic medical services. The Nepal Chinese Enterprises Association recently handed over its first batch of disaster relief funds to the Nepali side," she said.

In the face of major disasters, Mao said that China will continue to stand together with Nepal and join hands to overcome difficulties.
