Over 160 Asia-Pacific Media Forum participants have visited CSG's zero-carbon laboratory and a 220 kV substation in Zhuhai, South China's Guangdong province, to explore digital and smart grid technologies.
At Hengqin Digital Zero-Carbon Island Shared Laboratory, they engaged in a tug-of-war with the robot dog "Feiyun·Titan" and observed technologies including automatic de-icing and voiceprint recognition. At the 220 kV Qinyun Substation, another robot dog, "Qinbao", worked with drones and sensors, using AI for autonomous inspection and diagnostics.
As the first cross-regional energy research platform in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, the lab provides a replicable model for the Asia-Pacific's green energy transition.
