A nurse helps a patient who has just undergone surgery leave the operating room at a mobile ophthalmic train hospital in Hohhot, Inner Mongolia autonomous region, on Wednesday. The public welfare project in the city officially began providing medical services on July 17 and will run for three months. Over 700 surgeries have been completed so far, and the current station is expected to perform 1,200 surgeries in total. Four such mobile eye hospitals operate nationwide, providing free cataract surgery for low-income patients and treating 8,000 to 10,000 people in need each year. ZHANG YUWEI/XINHUA
