Cross-Strait industrial integration takes center stage at Shandong-Taiwan exchange meeting
A cross-Strait economic and trade exchange meeting, now in its 30th session, opened on Monday in Weifang, Shandong province, bringing together around 800 participants from across the Strait to deepen industrial collaboration and chart a new course for cross-Strait economic integration during the 15th Five-Year Plan period (2026-30).
The four-day event features a wide range of exchange activities spanning industrial integration, modern agriculture, green chemicals, marine economy, intelligent manufacturing, youth entrepreneurship, and vocational education.
Co-hosted by the Shandong Provincial People's Government and the Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council, the meeting is one of the longest-running cross-Strait economic and trade exchange events on the mainland. This year's edition also features a series of policy announcements aimed at supporting Taiwan enterprises in Shandong during the coming five years.
