Baidu announced a series of upgrades to its productivity tool DuMate, including a personal version, enterprise version, professional suite and workbench capabilities, in Shanghai on Thursday.

The upgrade focuses on professional scenarios such as self media and finance, covering tasks such as topic planning, data research, content production, financial report analysis, industry research, report output, and forming graphic, script, and analytical reports that can be used for publishing and reporting.

Data from the company showed that currently, DuMate's monthly active users have reached 6.74 million, growing 1063.79 percent on a month-on-month basis.

Shen Dou, executive vice-president of Baidu and president of Baidu AI Cloud Group, said, "Since its release in March, DuMate has completed 150 iterations within 5 months, and its user base has grown nearly 9 times in the past month."

"DuMate aims to provide a better user experience and more stable delivery, making intelligent agents truly a productivity partner that individuals and businesses can rely on," he said.

Meanwhile, Baidu has released the Harness intelligent engine, which is responsible for task planning, tool calling, and execution processes. According to DuMate's disclosure, the completion rate of related tasks has reached over 99 percent, and the consumption of total credits has been reduced by 30 percent. DuMateBench, released at the same time, is the industry's first open co-creation ranking to evaluate the real delivery capabilities of intelligent agents. The first batch includes over 200 real office tasks, covering multi-step and multi-tool collaboration scenarios.

According to market consultancy AICPB, the monthly active users of AI office desktop in China are about 30 million.
