Each season's division winners of the RTU talent selection tournament, launched in 2022 specifically for the Asia-Pacific market, earn official, multi-bout contracts with UFC.
The two-day Shanghai showpiece hits its peak on Saturday night with a six-bout main card headlined by a high-stakes bantamweight bout between home pride Song Yadong, the No 5 contender in the competitive division, and third-ranked Umar Nurmagomedov of Russia.
