State Grid Shizuishan: Targeted surveys accelerate heavy-duty truck charging station construction

In line with national policies to boost the new energy industry and promote a green, low-carbon transition for heavy-duty trucks, State Grid Shizuishan Power Supply Company has stepped up efforts to optimize the power business environment and speed up the rollout of new energy heavy-duty truck charging infrastructure.

As of Aug 21, the company had conducted full-coverage surveys of all 10 heavy-duty truck charging station projects under construction in Shizuishan city, Ningxia Hui autonomous region, resolving electricity-related difficulties in project construction and providing reliable power to support the high-quality development of the local green transportation industry.

During the surveys, company staff visited all 10 projects on-site. The projects have a combined construction capacity of 144,250 kilovolt-amperes. Through in-depth, face-to-face discussions with project leaders, they gained a full understanding of each project's construction plan and current progress, with particular attention paid to details of external power line works, including internal power distribution layouts, external supply line planning, and supporting transformer construction.

The team also looked into bottlenecks, difficulties, and practical needs facing enterprises in areas such as project approval, coordination of external line construction, load connection, and policy implementation.

All issues were logged item by item in a dedicated problem ledger to ensure a clear picture of project details, construction progress, and enterprise needs, laying a solid foundation for subsequent targeted services.

In response to the issues identified, the company adopted a problem-oriented, service-first approach, offering on-site guidance and solutions to enterprises.

Based on each station's load characteristics, regional grid conditions, and line planning, it strictly followed a "one project, one plan" service mechanism, tailoring the optimal power access solution for each charging station project. It also explained in detail to construction units the full application and installation process, the latest tariff incentives, and the scope of grid supporting facilities investment.

By coordinating grid resources ahead of time and advancing external line projects in a well-planned manner, the company opened a "fast track" for electricity services for heavy-duty truck charging station projects, minimizing the overall time from application to grid connection and effectively reducing enterprises' construction investment and electricity costs.

Going forward, the company will keep close track of the construction progress of heavy-duty truck charging station projects, establish a regular tracking and follow-up mechanism, and manage the problem ledger through closed-loop clearance while continuously improving its full-process electricity services. It will also strengthen collaboration between the government and enterprises and among enterprises to remove construction bottlenecks, ensuring that new energy heavy-duty truck charging station projects in the region are completed, put into operation, and deliver benefits as soon as possible.

These efforts will further improve the green transportation charging infrastructure network and inject strong momentum into the green, low-carbon transformation and high-quality development of Shizuishan's industries.
