Constructive, strategically stable Sino-US ties urged
Beijing is willing to work with Washington to actively build a constructive China-United States relationship of strategic stability, China's top political adviser Wang Huning said on Monday.
Wang, chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, made the remarks during a meeting with US representatives attending the third China-US Track 1.5 Dialogue in Beijing.
China is ready to work with the US to fully and accurately implement the important common understandings reached by the two heads of state, foster a correct perception of each other, respect each other's core interests, strengthen practical cooperation across various fields and properly manage differences, Wang said.
The US representatives said that US-China relations are at a special juncture. Both sides should promote business cooperation, expand people-to-people exchanges and guard against risks associated with artificial intelligence and other areas, they said.
Vice-president meets with Kuwaiti FM
Vice-President Han Zheng met with Kuwaiti Foreign Minister Sheikh Jarrah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah on Monday in Beijing.
Han said that under the strategic guidance of the two heads of state, China-Kuwait relations have maintained a good momentum of development, and exchanges and cooperation in various fields have continuously made progress in recent years.
Jarrah said that Kuwait appreciates China's support, adding that Kuwait firmly adheres to the one-China principle and highly appreciates the important role China has played in international and regional affairs.
