Exclusive: Pakistan sees path forward as US-Iran 60-day MoU ends

The 60-day negotiating framework established under the US-Iran memorandum of understanding (MoU) expired on August 17. Pakistan, which has served as a key mediator in recent US-Iran talks, remains actively engaged. In an exclusive interview with China Daily on August 18, Asim Iftikhar Ahmad, Pakistan’s permanent representative to the UN, shared his perspective on the outlook for future negotiations.
