'Dear You' premieres in Taiwan amid tickets in high demand

The hit film "Dear You" made its Taiwan premiere at the 2026 Taoyuan Film Festival. The film's two screenings reportedly sold out just five minutes after tickets went on sale. Zhu Fenglian, spokeswoman for the State Council Taiwan Affairs Office, said that the affection Taiwan compatriots have for films from the mainland shows that people on both sides of the Strait share a common cultural heritage, historical memories and deep emotional bonds.
