Geely reports record H1 sales growth
Chinese automaker Geely Automobile Holdings Ltd reported record-high sales and revenue growth in the first half of the year, according to its interim report. The company announced record sales of more than 1.42 million vehicles, with revenue growing 15 percent year-on-year to 173.6 billion yuan ($25 billion) during the period. Marking its sixth consecutive year of positive first half revenue growth, the company also reported a 46 percent rise in core profit attributable to owners of the parent, reaching 9.68 billion yuan for the period.
Railway investment in Jan-July rises
China has made steady progress on a number of key railway projects as investment in railway construction continued to expand in 2026, generating a notable driving effect and injecting fresh momentum into regional economic and social development, the national railway operator said. Fixed-asset investment in the railway sector totaled 440.6 billion yuan ($64 billion) in the first seven months of the year, up 1.8 percent year-on-year, according to China State Railway Group Co Ltd.
