500 Russian tourists join panda birthday celebration in Hainan

The pandas received a five-layer frozen fruit-and-vegetable cake, made with carrot and dragon fruit juice and adorned with fresh bamboo leaves and flowers, during the celebration. They dined alongside a custom wooden nameplate and fresh fruit platters as an orchestra played and guests sang the birthday song.
Park officials said they would continue developing the tropical panda brand to promote Hainan's ecological conservation efforts to a global audience.
