Insurance sector sees steady H1 growth
China's insurance industry recorded premium income of 3.86 trillion yuan ($568.5 billion) during the first half, up 3.3 percent year-on-year, with continued optimization in product structure, according to the latest data released by the Insurance Association of China. During the period, property insurers saw premium income rise 2.1 percent year-on-year, while life insurers' premium income increased 3.6 percent, the IAC said.
SAIC Motor, GM sign JV renewal agreement
Chinese automaker SAIC Motor and General Motors have announced a 20-year extension of their joint venture partnership to 2047.
