Rescuers confirmed 51 people dead and 10 others still missing after a landslide in Southwest China's Chongqing earlier this month, authorities said late on Thursday.
The landslide, which occurred on July 17 in Chongqing's Pengshui county, swept away several residential buildings at the foot of a mountain and along a riverbank.
More than 1,100 residents were safely evacuated, and 10 trapped individuals were rescued, with three already discharged from the hospital.
